Millions of children and families living in America face hunger and food insecurity every day. Hunger can affect anyone. Many Americans are just one job loss or medical emergency away from being food insecure.

FEED A CHILD

950,290 people experience hunger in Tennessee - and of them 267,110 are children. Children who experience food insecurity are more likely to face developmental and social challenges at a young age.

The goal of our new Food on Wheels program is to reach the hungry in their own community. By driving a Mobile Food Pantry to the hardest and poorest locations of the Appalachian Mountains, we can serve the children and their families in communities that do not have food pantries. You can find the most recent information about our Mobile Food Pantry schedule on our social media platforms!

14.3 million households were food insecure or had limited or uncertain access to food in 2018. There are families across the country who struggle with access to food and food security. Many of those households do not qualify for federal nutrition programs but rely on local food pantries like The LORD’s Child for support.

The Food Pantry is open every Thursdays from 10am to 12:45pm.

Coming Soon: Meals on Wheels!

Hunger does not know age. We are committed to better assisting our seniors in 2021. We are working hard to start a program that better accommodates the health conditions, transportation access, physical limitations, and dietary restrictions of older populations.
