Advocate for Hunger
Thank you for being concerned about hunger. It is going to take every one of us to end this devastating crisis of hunger.
NONE OF US CAN DO EVERYTHING, BUT ALL OF US CAN DO SOMETHING.
Talk to your friends, family, and colleagues about the need to end this increasing issue. Raising awareness is key to seeing social changes. Talk to your professional, civic, social, and religious groups to educate others about the ever increasing hunger crisis. You can fundraise to stem the tide of hunger!

Volunteer Your Time
Put your gifts and talents to work at The LORD’s Child. In 2021 Volunteers accumulated a total of 5,365 hours. Staff often say that the Food Pantry is limitless, and a large part of that is because of our volunteers! The Food Pantry is a place for our community to grow, and for people to build relationships. Volunteers help both in and outside of the Food Pantry. If you or your group are interested in volunteering at the Food Pantry, please fill out an application, and someone will reach out to you!

Support Financially
When you support The LORD’s Child financially, you're putting food on our shelves and in the hands of people in our community. We use donations to expand the areas we serve in the Appalachian region, support the Wells of Joy school in Uganda, support feeding 5000 children every day in Northern Ghana through Discover Joy Ministry and so much more. Every donation and every dollar allows us to continue to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus from Appalachia to Africa!
Volunteering at the Food Pantry
Many of our volunteers serve with us at the food pantry on Tuesday and/or Thursday. Whether they are checking-in guests, filling grocery orders, or delivering and loading groceries, each role means that someone gets to go home with food for their family! Learn more about what it means to our volunteers to serve at the food pantry!
