Thank a Food Pantry Volunteer!

Our Volunteers are continually showing up to ensure that people in our community have the food they need each week.

Advocate for Hunger

Thank you for being concerned about hunger. It is going to take every one of us to end this devastating crisis of hunger.

Talk to your friends, family, and colleagues about the need to end this increasing issue. Raising awareness is key to seeing social changes. Talk to your professional, civic, social, and religious groups to educate others about the ever increasing hunger crisis. You can fundraise to stem the tide of hunger!

Shop Our Store

6000+ meals provided last month! When you SHOP OUR STORE you are feeding people! The FREE groceries we provide have a cost to them; our current cost is ~$0.84c* per meal. EVERY item you purchase translates to meals for children and their families. We can end CHILD HUNGER in the USA, but we have to work together. THANK YOU FOR SHOPPING OUR STORE TO HELP END HUNGER!

Volunteer Your Time

Put your gifts and talents to work at The LORD’s Child. Staff often say that the Food Pantry is limitless, and a large part of that is because of our volunteers! The Food Pantry is a place for our community to grow, and for people to build relationships. Volunteers help both in and outside of the Food Pantry. If you or your group are interested in volunteering at the Food Pantry, please fill out an application, and someone will reach out to you!

Support Financially

When you support The LORD’s Child financially, you are putting food on our shelves and in the hands of people in our community. We use donations to further the reach of areas we serve in the Appalachian region, support the Wells of Joy school in Uganda, and so much more. Every donation and every dollar allows us to continue to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus from Appalachia to Africa!

Volunteering at the Food Pantry

Many of our volunteers serve with us at the food pantry every Thursday. Whether they are checking-in guests, filling grocery orders, or delivering and loading groceries, each role means that someone gets to go home with food for their family!
